Hot Spring
Overview
Kikuletwa Hot Spring Day Trip features hot springs enveloped by fig trees, in an area covered with precious stones all in the midst of a semi-dry scene. Here you may find an assortment of striking birdlife amongst an abundance of vegetation, and neighbouring indigenous families. The ride to the hot springs takes around an hour, as you enjoy the views of dried conduit beds, baobab and acacia trees. The Hot Springs Of Kikuletwa which also bears the name of Chemka Hot Springs are close to the town of Rundugai and is among the most excellent places to relax after a Tanzania Safari. Surrounding the hot springs you will likely see blue monkeys playing cheerfully in the branches, the water isn’t as hot as the name suggests, as it is supported by the ice sheets of Kilimanjaro, however the water is warm and inviting, exhibiting shades of blues and emeralds, creating a jungle scene from the low hanging trees. Enjoy your day plunging in and out of the springs, lazing in the sun, snoozing, or conversing with locals and fellow travellers at the little bar – you choose the course of this day. Enjoy a delicious lunch, before returning to Moshi before sunset.
